Special Needs

Our Special Needs class is called Pigeon Steps. It is a very small class with a maximum of just five children. It has been designed by Kim to specifically focus on:

  • Language Development
  • For children for whom English is not their main language, as well as for children who have speech difficulties.

  • Concentration Skills
  • Interaction with others

An individual education plan will be written for each child who attends this class. This plan is shared with parents, who recieve written help for use at home as well as regular frequent meetings with Kim to discuss progress and the next step.

The children will be using a variety of art materials and Montessori and music equipment, as well as doing nature study, to aid their social development and language skills.

Class Times

Pigeon Steps classes are held in the Frog Room on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons - 12.15 to 12.45pm.
