Art and DramaFox Tales is our art and drama class, during which the children put on a performance each term for the parents to watch! All the props, scenery, costumes and puppets are designed and made by the children themselves - slightly messy, and a lot of fun! This is a very diverse class and the children are able to explore different areas in the course of each production including drawing how the characters should look, art and craft work to build the scenery, playing instruments or creating sound effects, operating puppets, as well as acting. This had a cast of 10 children and 19 characters - so each child had a puppet as well as a costume! This was a medley of underwater creatures singing and dancing. We decided to experiment with a shadow puppet theatre - which the children loved, but of course we had to have dressed-up mermaids and sharks as well! Class TimesFox Tales classes are held in the Duck Room on Tuesday afternoons - 12.30 to 3pm. |
